Mazzoli Elisa

mazzolielisaAuthor: Mazzoli Elisa

Where I live: I have always lived in Cesenatico, a small town on the Adriatic sea, where boats have bright sails and portholes like wide eyes, and the canalised port was designed by Leonardo da Vinci.

The kind of books I write: I write for readers aged 0-10; stories about children and animals that will provoke laughter and reflection. I also like nursery rhymes and sing-and-read.

Languages my books have been translated into: I have never been published out of Italy.

Awars and acknowledgements: My picture book “Noi” (We), with illustrations by Sonia Marialuce Possentini, was selected for the international bookshelf of IBBY Outstanding Books for Young People with Disabilities 2015.

My favourite foreign children’s writers: Astrid Lindgren, Roald Dahl, William Steig.
