Where I live: Milan. The Midle Land. A city always on the run, but that takes time to discover. Like a good wine, sip after sip, her flavour lingers. A multicultural city which received me with open arms and that I now consider, like many other outsiders, my home.

The kind of books I write: Thoughtful tales that speak to children directly, considering their point of view and give prominence to their issues and the questions they ask themselves, but in a light and funny way, without pretending to teach them anything or give them easy solutions. I don’t write for a precise age group.

Languages my books have been translated into: Portuguese (Brasil), English (Canada and USA), Korean and Spanish (Argentina).

Awards and Prizes: Premio Internazionale Una favola per la pace - International peace Bureaux - Ravenna 2005 Premio Mario Tabarrini, città della fiaba - Perugia 2007 Lingua madre - (Italian authors category) - Turin 2009.

My favourite foreign children’s writers: Rohald Dahl, Julia Donaldson, Doctor Seuss, Lygia Bojunga, Beatrix Potter, Ana Maria Machado.
