Where I live: Near Turin, close to the Basilica of Superga, on the hills that encircle the city on the west side. From Superga you can see the river Po, the whole city with its Mole Antonelliana, the factories all around and the crown of white capped mountains.

The kind of books I write: I write for kids aged between 7 and 12, about subjects I’ve always been keen on, even very remote the one from the other: zoology, geography, history, Japanese poetry…

Awards and Prizes: "1.000.000 di dinosauri per Diego Zanzana" ("1 million dinosaurs for Diego Zanzana") won the Premio Arpino 2006; "Bestiacce!" ("Ugly Beasts!") the Premio “Mariele Ventre” and the series "Le MilleUnaMappa" ("The one thousand and one maps") the Premio Andersen 2012 for best editorial project.

My favourite foreign children’s writers: Neil Gaiman, Roald Dahl, Philip Ridley.
